Random!

Saw this in a tiny town in Wyoming - who thought this was a good idea?
Nixon and Easton and I spent an hour stopped on the I-80 for an accident. I let Nixon get out and skateboard. I wish I had just gotten out myself to get a decent photo. Look at that smile!
I don't care how beautiful this is, I'm done with winter clothes and shut windows and shoveling and being cold. Summer can not come fast enough!

Friday Flashbacks

My friend Camille does this every Friday. I'm going to copy her!
Here is what my mother had written on the back of the photo:
Jenny taking care of "bigger" brother by pushing him in swing
March '76
Jenny - 30 lbs! - almost 5 years
Jeremy - 20 lbs! - 8 1/2 months

Geoffrey, Kara, Rachel, and Tami Barber - 1983ish?

Who Do You Think You Are?

Have you been watching this show?

We love it! Nixon and Easton joined me last week for a Friday night trip to the Family History Library and we had a blast. Not that we have plans to move (wishful thinking!), but I have been feeling like while we are in Utah, I need to take advantage of that place and the awesome resources there.

Mormon Boy

Our stake did a very fun activity where each ward was asked to make a video based on this year's mutual theme:

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest. - Joshua 1:9

Maybe I am a teensy bit biased because the lead actor is soooo good looking, but I thought our ward's entry was awesome! This was all written, filmed, edited by the youth (OK, in our ward, mostly by one really talented boy).

They had a fun awards night complete with a red carpet entrance, popcorn and candy and watched all the videos from the stake together. There were no less than TWO Office knock offs, and no less than TWO videos that brought tears to my eyes - if anyone knows anything about being strong and courageous these days, it is the young men and women who live in the world today and try to make good choices.
